ABOUT GREEN PAGES

Promoting sustainable environmental practices

Green Pages is a Ugandan non-profit conservation organization, revamped in 2022, dedicated to protecting biodiversity while enhancing community livelihoods through sustainable environmental practices. We recognize that communities are both the custodians and beneficiaries of the natural environment, and therefore, their empowerment is central to our work.

Capacity-building programs that equip local communities with knowledge and skills in biodiversity protection, reforestation, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable resource management.

Supporting eco-friendly income-generating activities such as agroforestry, organic farming, and eco-tourism to improve household income while reducing pressure on natural resources.

Engaging young people and women in conservation leadership, green entrepreneurship, and climate action projects.

Green Pages and the Community

Okello Jacob

Community Member – Tree Planting Beneficiary

“Before Green Pages came to our village, our land was bare and the heat was unbearable. The tree planting training changed everything. Today we have shade, fruit trees for our children, and our soil is fertile again. Green Pages restored hope in our community.”

— Margaret A., Wakiso Women’s Association

Women’s Group Leader

“Through the women’s tree nursery project, we’ve gained skills, confidence, and income. What started as a small training turned into a business that now supports our families. Green Pages didn’t just teach us how to plant trees — they helped us grow as women.”

— Elijah K., Youth Climate Ambassador

Youth Environmental Club Member

“I was trained by Green Pages when I was 16. Today, I lead my school’s environmental club and organize clean-ups and tree planting days. They made me believe that young people can create real change.”

— Peter Mulinde., Smallholder Farmer

“My farm used to fail every dry season, but with Green Pages’ climate-smart training, I now harvest even during tough weather. The agroforestry techniques they taught me have transformed my land and my income.”
